Sweetened Bananas with Sago and Gulaman in Caramel Syrup

Sweetened Bananas with Sago and Gulaman in Caramel Syrup
On a hot day, nothing beats sweet nibbles on ice!


3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 saba bananas, peeled and sliced into rounds
1/2 cup large sago (tapioca balls), cooked according to package instructions
1/2 cup red gulaman (gelatin), cubed
2 cups crushed ice
1/4 cup cornflakes


Boil together sugar and water.

2  Add bananas. Continue to boil until the bananas become soft, then transfer to a bowl.

3  Add gulaman and sago to the bananas.

Top with crushed ice then drizzle with banana syrup. Garnish with cornflakes.
